FDA Issues FSMA Preventive Controls Guidance for Small Businesses
On October 31, 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued small entity compliance guidances under the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) to assist small and very small businesses with the implementation of the Preventive Controls for Human Food and Preventive Controls for Animal Food rules.

SQF Preventive Control Audit Checklist
As an SQF Certified Supplier, you may be wondering how SQF requirements compare with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements. SQFI has created additional resources that will assist SQF Suppliers strengthen their food safety programs and meet the vigorous requirements of the FSMA PC rule. In response to FSMA, SQFI has developed a voluntary Preventive Controls Audit Checklist for SQF Suppliers to use as a guide for identifying the necessary steps to bridge any gaps between a company’s SQF Program and the PC rule.
